New President of the board of directors in Canada
1 June 2018
It is with pride that the QFCC announces the appointment of Marie-Claude Péthel, partner in American and International Tax Partner at Demers Beaulne, as the new President of the Board of Directors of the Chamber in Canada.
Long-time member of the Chamber, she will share the presidency with Mr. Glenn Cooper, active co-president in Florida. Together, they will work closely and dynamically to ensure the growth of the Chamber, its members and partners, in Canada as much as in Florida!
“After 9 years, it is obvious that the Quebec-Florida Chamber of commerce is an established organization with great expertise in business relations between these two territories. I intend to take my mandate as an opportunity to raise the prestige of the Chamber, as well as the presence of the Canadian businesses established in Florida”, evoked Mrs. Péthel in her speech.
Marie-Claude plans to leverage her expertise as well as to gather multidisciplinary experts related to the field of international business development in order to benefit the members of the QFCC. “If we want to stimulate international entrepreneurship and to cultivate the passion of our members, it is essential for us to make available to them a network of experts that will facilitate the elaboration and the establishment of commercial operations designed for expansion” added Mrs. Péthel.
Additionally, the QFCC would like to thank its outgoing President for his 9 years of exceptional services, his devotion and his vision, which lead the Chamber to become the distinctive and prestigious business network it is today.
“It is with pride that I witness the evolution and the strength of our business network. I had the pleasure to meet professional, inspiring and generous individuals, and it
was a privilege for me to stand by the side of our members. I am thrilled and honored to pass the torch to a dynamic, dedicated and visionary person, who will surely know how to maintain the tremendous growth of the Chamber”, concluded Mr. Racicot.
